Terms of use

The rules for using Hubister, its AI features and its coaches, in plain words.

Last updated 22 October 2026

01These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Hubister (“Hubister”, “we”) for using the Hubister app and this website. By creating an account or using Hubister, you accept them, and our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Hubister.

If you use Hubister as a coach, the coach terms in section 7 apply to you as well.

02Who can use Hubister

You must be at least 16 years old and able to agree to these terms. One account is for one person; keep access to your email secure, since that is how you sign in. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.

03Not medical advice

Hubister is a tool for building habits and keeping track. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.

Scores, calorie and macro estimates, sleep scores, targets and plans in Hubister are for general wellbeing. Talk to a doctor before you start a new diet or training programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or take medication. Stop and get help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. Never ignore professional medical advice because of something in Hubister.

04AI features

Hubister can read meals, diet plans, training plans and exercises with AI. Its answers are estimates and can be wrong: amounts, calories and macros especially. Check them before you save or rely on them. Don’t submit anything you don’t have the right to share. AI requests are limited per person per day, and we may change the limit.

05Apple Health and accuracy

If you connect Apple Health, Hubister reads from it but never writes to it. Data from Health, your watch or your scale is only as accurate as the device that recorded it. Hubister also needs a connection to save and sync; when you are offline it says so and waits.

06Coaching

For clients

Coaches on Hubister are independent trainers and dietitians, not our employees or agents. We check a qualification certificate before a coach is listed as verified, but we don’t supervise their advice and can’t guarantee results. Anything you agree with a coach, including price, payment, sessions and refunds, is between you and them; Hubister doesn’t take payments for coaching and isn’t a party to that arrangement. You can end coaching at any time.

For coaches

  • Tell the truth about who you are, your qualifications, your experience and your prices.
  • Coach only within your qualifications, and refer clients to a medical professional when that is what they need.
  • Use your clients’ data only to coach them, keep it confidential, and stop using it when coaching ends.
  • You’re responsible for your own advice, insurance, taxes and any licences your work requires.
  • We may refuse, pause or remove a listing or a coach account, for example if a qualification can’t be verified or after complaints.

07Messages and conduct

Be decent. In messages, reviews, profiles and anything else you post, don’t:

  • harass, threaten, demean or discriminate against anyone;
  • post sexual content, spam, scams, or anything illegal;
  • share someone else’s private information or images without their permission;
  • pretend to be someone you’re not, or to hold qualifications you don’t;
  • try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits of Hubister.

You can report a message from the conversation. We review reports, and we may remove content, pause someone’s messages, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Reviews

Reviews must reflect your own experience with that coach. Coaches may not write or buy reviews, or pressure clients about them. We may remove reviews that break these rules.

08Your content

What you log and post stays yours. You give us a licence to store, process and display it only as needed to run Hubister for you: to show it to you, to the coach you choose, and, for reviews and coach profiles, to other people using Find a coach. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others already received, like messages you sent.

09Our app

Hubister, its design, its mark and its exercise library belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as these terms and the App Store’s rules allow. Hubister is free to use today; if we add paid features, we’ll tell you the price before you pay anything.

10Ending your account

You can delete your account from Profile at any time; everything in it is deleted, as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to by law, and we will tell you why unless we can’t. We may change or stop parts of Hubister; if we shut it down, we will give you notice first.

11Warranties and liability

We work hard to keep Hubister accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will get you a particular result.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what coaches or other people do, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or 100 euros. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

12Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Hubister or its content, has no duty to support or maintain it, and is not liable for any claim about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also agree to the App Store’s terms when you download Hubister.

13Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect; using Hubister after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], without taking away the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
